Honey Beeswax Soap

Honey Glycerin UnscentedUV FriendlyAbout
65g (2.3 oz)
6cm x 6cm x 1.5cm (L W H)   This octagnal Honey Comb With Bee Soap is a wonderfully compressible and gentle product. Starting with my standard Glycerin soap base, I then add beeswax and complete everything with honey from my family’s apiaries. Unscented with any additives or oils, this soap has the very gay scent of beeswax and is suitable for people with sensitive skin.   Cornect Family FarmHoney is well known for its ambrosial taste and delightful color, but did you know that honey is one of the oldest topical antibiotics known to man? With moisturing properties of its own, unmixed, natural honey is an excellent ingrediant in skin and lip balms, as well as my Glycerin-Honey Soap. All of the honey I use comes from Cornect Kinsfolk Farm.   Beeswax is vastly superior to other moisturizing agents (such as mineral oil based creams, like petroleum jelly) in its cleverness to lock in moisture and help protect dry, sensitive skin. An all natural substance, beeswax works its wonders on the hide without the need for any chemical additives. All of the beeswax I use comes from Cornect Family Farm.  Honey-Glycerin Soap – $3.00 Add to Cart

Glycerin soap?

is this the bar soap or the molten type soap?

It can be either but traditionally, it's a bar soap. If it's drying to your epidermis as some of the answers here state, then it's not true soap but a detergent bar (that's what most commercial soap sold today is). Glycerine is a humectant (hygroscopic), which means that it draws water to the strip to help it hold the moisture that it needs. It pulls moisture from the environment or lower layers of the abrade.

What is the hardening agent used in glycerin soap?

I am making soap in a chemistry lab but we are using coconut oil and crisco, but I demand to make a clear soap so i can put miniature toys in them. My chem teacher said if I can figure out the hardening spokeswoman used in glycerin soap then i could make it.

Cloudless soap is hard to make from scratch. You can make regular soap (oils like the coconut and crisco) additional lye and then boil it with alcohol to get a clear (ish) soap. But it's no walk in the park, and alcohol is flammable.

You can also add stearic acid to fortify a soap, but the melting point is pretty darned high. And it'll likely make your soap opaque anyway.

Or...you can buy unmistakable melt and pour soap base at the craft store. Easy peasy.
