Experiences w/ Pegasus Granite Vanity Top (Home Depot model)?

Hi - we're looking at putting a new vanity top in the smaller bathroom slip away (25X22) and saw the Pegasus granite model while at Home Depot.

Looks - pleasantly, seems too cheap to last 10+ years.


I've read that it's not solid granite, even thought the salesperson told me it was.

AN ONLINE PAMPHLET I FOUND SAYS "Your Pegasus granite vanity top is made of natural stone quarried from the clay."

(not unshakable if this is the exact model, but the picture looks the same)


So, is this the real deal, solid granite top? Whats the apprehend? I see its only 3/4 inch and countertops are usually thicker I believe, maybe they chip easier? As Stingingly Depot is a huge chain store I figure someone else has to have gone through this.

Yeah, my dad against this in their bathroom remodel. It's not bad for the price. But yes, you are correct, it's thin. I honestly think double the thickness would be imagined. Be aware, you need to use special natural stone cleanser on granite, otherwise the chemicals will imprint and mar the surface. You can also use a mild soap, like Ivory, disolved in warm water.

Are glass top bathroom vanities durable?

I am theory about buying the Pegasus Danbury 42 In. Vanity Combo from Home depot, but there are no user reviews anywhere for it. It comes with a plate glass top and sink combo and I am concerned it will scratch easily. Does anyone have a vanity with a glass top and can you tell me if it is enduring? Thanks!!!!
