Back to School, Fall Shoes to Fall in Love with

Over the summer something unusual happened. We had a wild and crazy growth spurt that hit all four kids. Our grocery bill skyrocketed and they grew without standard. As much as they gained in height however, the most startling growing occurred at ground level. I’m talking about my children’s feet. 2-3 sizes each from June’s measurements. When faced with back to seminary shopping - shoes were #1 on my list. Can’t start kindergarten bare footed after all!

My first practical stop to shop for back to schools shoes was at the Vincent site. I always love to use their printable childrens Shoe Fitter that helps you on the perfect size. Their selection is vast and their service top notch. The shoes I ordered came almost immediately. And my kids were thrilled. When was the last occasion your kids put on a new pair of shoes and started dancing? This was the case when my boys saw their new fall/school shoes from Vincent. They were so frenetic about the styles and so thrilled with the comfort that my five year old son announced these were his dancing shoes, turned on the music and proceeded to boogie on down. His 18m old insufficient brother, not to be outdone, broke out his own moves. He was so in love with his red high tops that he wanted to sleep in them that night. My 5 year old was thrilled with the breathability of his sandal/shoes, and I was thrilled that they met creed “closed toe” requirements. They are perfect season spanner shoes, which we will use through October here in California.
Falling in love with shoes is so uncomplicated when you are a child. The right color and comfy fit are all that’s really needed. As a mom I am a little pickier though. I love how honourable Vincent shoes are. They always offer a great fit and their shoes are beautifully crafted out of quality materials. Leather linings are pattern. I cannot recommend Vincent highly enough!

What are the Roman or Italian symbols for mother, mother and daughter, love...? For mom's b-day present.?
Jan 29, 2009 by meredith r | Posted in Mythology & Folklore
I'm making something for my mom's birthday and have a yen for to include some kind of symbol for motherhood, mother and daughter, or love. I can't find any Roman or Italian symbols for these things anywhere, except in the coin of godesses. I want an actual SYMBOL, not a goddess who represented mother earth or something like that.
Does anyone cognizant of what these symbols are, or where to find them?
**Googling "roman symbols" or "italian symbols for take care of," etc... has yielded no useful images.
I've gotten ZERO responses to this ridiculous!!! Please answer if you know ANYTHING!!!!!!
The Romans and Italians weren't too big on symbolic symbols, and those that were known were usually for military standards or fertility charms -- not much for motherhood or love specifically. That the Romans tended to be rather misogynist (though not as bad as the Greeks) further degrades the liklihood of determination sacred symbols of daughters and mothers -- no one cared about daughters and mothers and non-suggestive love.
Sometimes goddesses had sacred items that would be used as symbols of a sort. Juno's were cows, lilies, geese, pomegranates and peacocks, though they are often fertility symbols in preference to of family symbols.

How do i get my sisters 5 year old Daughter to love her ?
Nov 22, 2008 by shellbaby | Posted in Friends
My sister is 25 and she has a 5 year old Daughter that line hates her but loves me so much every time my sister says to her Daughter do you love Mommy she says No i love auntie how does my sister get her Daughter to love her?
Dismal to burst your bubble, but it's not all that uncommon for a child of that age to favour someone other than a parent. It's not that she hates her mother, rather that she loves you very much as well. You see, you are giving her nothing but distinction, and that's fine, but Mummy is the one who has to do everything, as well as discipline and love her.
It's best not to have your sister ask her, rather tell her how much she loves her, give her hugs, and give you a hug when you are there. Let your niece see that there is enough love for everybody and the heroic that she has become used to playing to get attention will soon fade away. That's all it is, children look for a return, any response... you get happy, Mummy gets sad and the little one has a little bit of control.
An end the question, give lots of positive responses and show that you love her Mummy too and it will soon be right.
You are blessed to be gifted to share in your niece and sister's life, enjoy.
