How do you wash makeup sponges and brushes?

To appeal foundation, i use either makeup sponges OR brushes.
Thing is, that i have OILY skin. So the oil on my face ends up transferring to the sponge/hairbrush. And that would cause alot of bacteria?

So how do i wash my sponges + brushes? With warm water and soap? (handwriting soap?).
And how often would i need to wash them? Everyday...week..?

If you have an slimy face I would just throw the sponge out after each use and get a new one the next day
With makeup brushes you need to wash them everyday. Use hot under the collar water and a cleanser. Alot of people buy special cleansers made just for makeup brushes. But I find that a well-disposed face cleanser for oily skin, or a shampoo works just as well.

Once the water is become enthusiastic a get my hand wet and put a little bit of the cleanser in my hand. I rub the makeup brush around to get it soapy and to get the makeup/bacteria out. I then rinse it under the faucet. If its very dirty I wash it again.

go to sephora (makeup stow away)
and in their brush section they have "brush shampoo" that you put on your brushes, and with sponges I wouldd only throw them away and use new ones every other day or so, since you can buy them in a pack.....
but yeah and on the bottle it will probably say how many times to use it a week

Question about cream foundation and makeup sponges?

Im having a bit of strife blending my foundation stick (Clinique City Stick) to my face! If I blend with my fingers it looks uproarious, if I use foundation brush it still looks like I have PASTE on! How do I blend in my foundation to my face? Is makeup sponges specifally for this?
thanks.

take a come in up sponge and get it a little moist and use just a little of the foundation stick and that should make it mix easier and look more natural. if you want more coverage just go over the area a couple more times.
