Dogs rule the pool at the Pooch Pool Party! Tacoma Weekly
10.09.09
This first annual end-of-pep up Stewart Heights event allows pool access to pups. Dog owners looking for a fun way to mix with their pets can treat their furry friends to a dip in Stewart Heights Pool from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept. 12.
Combine party participants can paddle around with other dogs, lunge through the Lazy River, splash in the sprayground, and clearly get in and out of the water using the zero-depth entry. The Pool Party is for dogs only; humans will be asked to observation from the deck.
“The pool party provides dog owners and their pets a unique experience after the collection closes for the season. It’s great to be able to put this park asset to a different use before it’s drained and cleaned for the winter,” remarked Jim Biles, Aquatics Foreman.
Dog owners are asked to bring well-socialized dogs only to this event and to leave dog toys at home. Leashes are required when dogs are out of the copiously. Pool staff will provide scoop bags.
